Privacy Policy

SAIL ("we," "us," or "the Service") is a college tennis recruiting platform operated by Deniz Okyay as an individual, based in Virginia, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. SAIL is currently in a free beta.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide recruiting guidance:

• Account information: your name, email address, and a password.
• Athletic and academic profile: your UTR rating, GPA, profile completion status, and nationality, along with other recruiting details you choose to enter (such as graduation year, division preference, intended major, preferred city, and school size preference).

Your password is stored only in hashed (scrambled) form. We cannot see or recover your actual password — not even as administrators.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Create and maintain your account;
• Generate personalized school matches, scholarship estimates, and recruiting guidance;
• Power AI features such as the advisor chat and coach-email drafting;
• Send you essential account emails, such as password resets;
• Understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve it during the beta.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising in SAIL.

Service Providers We Share Data With

To run SAIL, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party services. Information is shared with them only as needed to operate the Service:

• Anthropic — powers the AI advisor and email-drafting features. Relevant profile details may be sent to generate responses.
• SendGrid — sends transactional emails such as password resets.
• Neon — hosts the database where your account and profile are stored.
• Render — hosts the application itself.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. School information shown in SAIL (such as tuition, enrollment, and ratings) comes from public sources and is about schools, not about you.

Data Retention

We keep your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Your Choices

• You can view and update your profile information at any time from your dashboard.
• You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing us.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords and using secure, reputable hosting and database providers. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep your data protected.

Changes to This Policy

Because SAIL is in active development, this policy may change. When it does, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to beta users.
